The 2016 National Final is being held on 20 July in Pukekohe at the Pukekohe Indian Association.
Young Grower of the Year is an annual competition run by Horticulture New Zealand to find the best young fruit or vegetable grower in the country.
The focus of the competition is to give young people working in the industry recognition, develop their skills and foster individual young grower leadership.

This year, regional competitions are held in April through to July, where fruit and vegetable growers compete in separate competitions throughout the country. The overall winner of each regional competition goes forward to compete for the prestigious title of Young Grower of the Year at the Young Grower of the Year Final in Pukekohe.
