Young Grower of the Year is an annual competition run by Horticulture New Zealand to select the finest young fruit or vegetable grower in the country.
The focus of the competition is to give young people working in the industry recognition, develop their skills and foster individual young grower leadership.

Regional competitions are held from March to July each year, where fruit and vegetable growers compete in separate competitions throughout the country. The overall winners in the sector competitions go forward to compete for the prestigious title of Young Grower of the Year.
